ACTC raises nearly $4,700 during annual KCTCS Giving Day
Published on Apr 22, 2025
Momentum, generosity, and a shared commitment to student success defined this year鈥檚 Giving Day at Ashland Community & Technical 果冻直播 (ACTC).
ACTC participated alongside the other fifteen KCTCS colleges in the 24-hour fundraising event last Wednesday. Donations will support the college鈥檚 greatest needs, including scholarships, the food pantry, Phi Theta Kappa, and essential resources that empower students to succeed.
鈥淭he generosity we received for Giving Day tells a powerful story,鈥 said Kim Minnehan, ACTC advancement administrator. 鈥淚n just one day, 82 donors from 16 states stepped up to support ACTC, including our own faculty and staff. We reconnected with friends and supporters and welcomed in new donors.鈥
Andrew Jones, an ACTC Foundation Board member, said that he gave because of the college鈥檚 positive impact on the community.
鈥淚t鈥檚 my hope that by supporting ACTC we can continue to provide opportunities for the next generation of folks that call Ashland home,鈥 Jones said.
A total of $4,686.04 was raised during the event through contributions from alumni, board members, faculty/staff, students, friends, and new donors.
鈥淚mpact isn鈥檛 measured in just dollars,鈥 Minnehan said. 鈥淪ometimes it鈥檚 in the spirit, the stories, and the continued belief in our mission. Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, and believed.鈥
